How We Started
We started Tribe & Trails because booking a safari shouldn't feel like a black box
Too many trips get sold through layers of agents and platforms before they reach the person who actually knows the route. We wanted something more direct — a small operator based right here in Arusha, where the person answering your message is the same person who helps plan the trip.
We're early. We don't have decades behind us, and we're not going to pretend otherwise — what we do have is local knowledge of Tanzania's parks and a commitment to running each trip properly.
How We Work
Every itinerary starts as a conversation, not a catalog
The packages on our tours page are starting points, not fixed menus. When you reach out, we talk through your dates, pace, and what you actually want to see — then shape a route around that, instead of slotting you into a pre-built tour bus schedule.
Because we're small, changes are simple. If you want an extra day at Ngorongoro or to skip a stop, that's a conversation, not a change-fee form.
